[4] Thingy:91 X: SWD programming through the debug board interface does not work

Nordic Thingy:91 X™ Errata

This anomaly applies to PCA20065 v1.0.0.

Symptoms

The debugger probe is unable to communicate with the nRF5340 SoC or nRF9151 SiP through the debug board interface connector (P9).

Conditions

The Nordic Thingy:91 X current measurement and debug board (PCA64165) is inserted into the P9 connector on the Nordic Thingy:91 X v1.0.0, and the 20-pin SWD and trace connector (P4) on the Nordic Thingy:91 X current measurement and debug board is connected to the debug probe.

Consequences

Programming, debugging, or tracing through the debug board interface connector (P9) is not possible.

Workaround

Use the 10-pin programming connector (P8) for programming and debugging.

Connect both the 10-pin programming connector (P8) and the 20-pin SWD and trace connector (P4) on the Nordic Thingy:91 X current measurement and debug board to the debug probe for tracing.

This anomaly is fixed in Nordic Thingy:91 X v1.1.0.
