nRF93M1 supports the 3GPP power-saving mechanisms Power Saving Mode (PSM), extended Discontinuous Reception (eDRX), and idle and connected DRX, complemented by host-controllable modem functionality levels.
Power saving is largely transparent to the host. Once configured, the modem firmware manages state transitions automatically and the module enters the deepest power state compatible with the current connection and the traffic pattern. Host-side AT commands provide the configuration hooks.
