  • Changed the procedure for recovery from ERASEPROTECT without a key:
  • The CPU is now reset and halted with a system reset before writing the CPU side register for CTRL-AP.ERASEPROTECT.DISABLE.
  • The procedure now errors out if Secure AP-Protect is enabled. Previously, the CPU side CTRL-AP register was written as if it was configured as non-secure. This required the programmed firmware to configure it. This did not make sense as a general recovery mechanism.

  • Improved the error message emitted when AP-Protect still is enabled after recover.

  • Devices with the USB product ID 0x521F are no longer reported with PCA10059 (nRF52 Dongle) as the board version. This was not correct and led to misidentification of devices like the PPK2. The detection of this was originally introduced in v2.19.4.
  • Devices with the USB product ID 0xC00A are now reported with PCA10059 (nRF52 Dongle) as the board version only when the product name is `nRF52 Connectivity".
