To remove both the SDK and its associated toolchain version, use the top-level uninstall subcommand. For example, the following command removes both the SDK and toolchain v2.7.0 bundles:
nrfutil sdk-manager uninstall v2.8.0
You get the following output when the process completes:
[00:00:00] ###### 100% [Remove version] Removed version v2.8.0
[00:00:16] ###### 100% [Remove toolchain] Removed toolchain at C:\ncs\toolchains\15b490767d
When you uninstall an SDK version, the command removes all toolchain bundles associated with that SDK version that are not required by any other installed SDK version. For example, if patched toolchain releases (such as v3.4.0+1) were installed for nRF Connect SDK v3.4.1, uninstalling v3.4.1 removes those toolchains unless another installed SDK still uses them.
If a toolchain is shared across SDK versions (for example, patch SDK versions that reuse the same base toolchain), the toolchain is kept as long as at least one installed SDK still needs it.
